This page is to help you understand our services better and to know how to prepare your piece for quilting. To get a quote, please fill out the form on the Online Order Page. For more complicated projects, or for special orders, please email us at: info@grannysassydesigns.com.

Piecing top with your fabric and pattern: We are fast and accurate. All fabric is cut precisely and seams are finished with a serger to insure your quilt will last. We do not recommend pre-washing fabrics as we prefer the look achieved after quilting and washing. If you prefer a less wrinkled look, please pre-wash your fabric and trim all threads.

Using your pieced Quilt top: Please iron all seams in the direction you prefer, square up top and cut all threads. We will iron again to get the shipping wrinkles out before quilting.

Backing: Please consider using 108” backing fabric so it is wider than your quilt top (must be at least 8 inches wider and longer) to eliminate seams. You can get a great price on quality backing fabric at Fabric.com if you prefer a different type. Please make certain your batting is one piece that extends at least 4" on each side of the top.

Batting: We offer Hobbs Heirloom batting and Hobbs Tuscany Wool Binding. Other batting choice are available on Fabric.com. If you prefer a different type, please provide your own batting making certain it is one piece that extends at least 4” on each side of the top. We measure from the shortest side as long as the quilt top is less than 88” on the shortest side.

Longarm Quilting: We have thousands of designs and can acquire most any other design you may want. Your quilting will be done on “Gabby” our Gammill Statler Computerized Longarm.  Please review the Longarm Quilting Services page for more information.

Blocks and Borders:
This is where you customize your quilt.   You may select all the same pattern in each block or many different designs.   Borders can be continuous around the quilt or include corner blocks.  We will work with you to come up with the perfect design for your quilt.

Thread Color: We have solid or multi-color threads to match your quilt. We will use the same color top and bottom. Please identify which color you’d like us to match by placing a safety pin on the quilt top on the color choice.

Binding: We will make binding from your fabric. Typically there will be enough leftover from the backing, if desired, otherwise please provide the binding fabric you prefer. We bind using 2.5” Width of Fabric cuts. We sew on the binding by machine and hand sew to the back and will return any leftovers with your quilt.

Fabric Bleeding:
If you are concerned about the fabric bleeding colors, we recommend that you use Synthrapol Dye Remover when washing.

Labels: We offer embroidery service and can create your own personalized label. This is great for gift quilts. We will create the label and send you the proof for approval before stitching.

Shipping: Please put your quilt in a plastic bag inside the box to keep any moisture out. Please be sure to insure your package. We recommend flat rate boxes from the USPS as the most economical way to ship. Once your quilt is ready for return shipping we will contact you to find out how fast you want the quilt and will provide the shipping costs including insurance. Our shipping address is: 15321 Main Street NE, Suite 102 | Duvall, WA 98019.

Payment: We accept Pay Pal and require full payment prior to shipping your completed quilt. Payment is due within 7 days of completion. Any quilt unpaid after 30 days becomes ours.

Completion Time: We can typically get your quilt back to you within 2 weeks of receipt. However, at busy times it may take longer. If our estimated delivery time is not fast enough we will let you know if it can be expedited and what we will need to charge to get your quilt back to you when you need it.
